Выставка «Москва глазами иностранцев» обращается к историческому взгляду на город, охватывая период от Петра I и до Революции 1917 года. Но многое в рассказах и суждениях того времени остается актуальным и сейчас.
Встреча 14 сентября будет посвящена сегодняшнему дню: каким сегодня представляется наш город иностранцам, живущим и работающим в Москве? Как их идеи и проекты реализовались в московской действительности?Какие открытия преподнесла им Москва, и какой опыт, по их мнению, может быть заимствован другими городами? Как их работа влияет на будущее города, и что они стремятся привнести в Москву из других городов? Какие знания о Москве они ищут? И какие создают?
Мы пригласили в Музей Москвы представителей разных профессий, которые меняют ландшафт Москвы, «переизобретают» город в рамках своей профессиональной деятельности. Через их видение и подходы к городу мы постараемся собрать новый образ Москвы — город глазами иностранцев в 21 веке.
Вас ждут 6 коротких историй, дискуссия и неформальное общение.

Moscow through the eyes of foreigners – in the 21st century
The Museum of Moscow’s ongoing exhibition ‘Moscow through the eyes of foreigners’ explores how the capital has been perceived historically, from the times of Peter the Great to the October Revolution. Yet many of the stories and discussions from that period remain pertinent today.
At our one-off panel event on Thursday evening, we will ask: how does Moscow look through the eyes of foreigners living and working here in 2017?
To find an answer, we have assembled a panel of six bold and brilliant foreigners who are changing and re-appropriating Moscow’s urban landscape within their various professional spheres.
How have their eyes been opened by Moscow and what do they think other cities could learn from? What projects and ideas have they launched into the Moscosphere themselves? How will their work shape the future of the capital and what have they brought from elsewhere? What aspects of the city baffle them?
There will be six short talks, followed by a Q&A.

Simon Dunlop — cofounder of Dream Industries group, co-owner of DI Telegraph coworking space, founder of the mobile reading platform Bookmate;
Antonio Geusa — curator and head of the educational department of the National Centre for Contemporary Arts (NCCA);
Ellen Verbeek – editor of Yoga Journal Russia;
Paul Cetnarski — architect;
Eva Hartog – editor of The Moscow Times;
Jonathan Belpeer – chef;
Language: English and Russian with live translation.
